The match kicked off on a very sandy surface, and early doors Dyce impressed with their slick passing with Jack, Joey and Connor linking very well up the right hand side. Goals were very quick in coming and we were soon two up with goals from Joey and Connor. Colony came close once or twice during this period with the post saving Craig’s goal on one occasion and some stout defending from our back two preventing Colony from making more of a game of it. By half-time though two goals from Grant (the second , a sweetly struck shot after some great Dyce passing, the goal of the game) and one from Connor had made the score 5-0

At the interval, Ryan took over from Craig in goals, and Josh and Paul joined the fray. Despite the changes the game proceeded much as before. A spectacular overhead kick goal from Josh was the highlight of this half and by the end of the period the score was 10-0 Dyce.

Further changes and a little slackness up front meant that our scoring rate dried up a little in the third period, and a well-taken goal by Colony closed the gap slightly. However a goal each from Josh and Paul rounded off the scoring at 12-1 Dyce.

Other than the obvious good performances from our goalscorers, special mention goes to Chris, who will probably never work harder and fail to score – and to Ryan who shone on the left side of midfield, before volunteering !!! to go in goals.
