2003s Domestic Clean Sweep

2003's Club News Featured

A massive congratulations from everyone at the Club to our 2003 side who have won the treble this season. The boys wrapped up the league with two games to spare and added the Colony Park Cup and the Batts Cable Trophy to the collection. It has been a huge team effort from all the boys, parents and coaches and they should all rightfully be proud of what they have achieved in their first season at 11 a side football.

Brilliant stuff boys keep it up next year!

Silent Sunday

To highlight the aims of Positive Coaching Scotland’s ethos for the parents, supporters and coaches of the Aberdeen and District Juvenile FA’s Development Soccer Sevens all parents, supporters and coaches were asked to watch the games on Sunday 3rd of May 2015 in total silence apart from applauding good play or goals.

Just let the children play with no interference from the sidelines. At this age the game is all about learning and enjoyment for the players. The result is immaterial as there are no league championships or trophies awarded at the end of the season. Therefore why should adults get worked up and sometimes spoil the enjoyment for the children.

To take something positive and concrete from the day we are seeking sponsorship for each goal a team scores on that day. The funds collected will go towards club (40%) and association(10%) funds but the lions share will be donated to the NSPCC Scotland (50%).

By sponsoring the team you to can help change the coaching culture in Scotland and help the nations future citizens some of whom may just go on to be successful in sport.

Above is our 2004 and 2003 teams taking part in silent Sunday taking to extremes to keep their parents and coaches quiet which work except from one coach but we wont name names!

Goals Galore

The players of Dyce Boys Club will take part in our annual fundraising event with this year being goals galore.

Every age group will play football for an hour and all the goals will be added to give the grand total which all parents, grandparents, friends and basically anyone who fancies giving it a go will try and predict and win a prize for the closest guess!

The event will take place at various dates and venues in the first week of March so be sure to keep an eye out for the boys coming your way with their sponsorship forms and help support the boys club and maybe win in the process.

A helpful hint we have 8 age groups to all take place but sorry I cant give anymore help than that!

Dyce Boys Club non-competitive trophy evening 2014

2003's 2004's 2005's 2006s & 2007s Club News Featured
The Marriott Hotel, Dyce hosted another successful Dyce Boys Club event on Thursday 27th November.
The Club’s non-competitive age groups at 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003 were presented with their individual trophies as a thanks from the Boys Club for their hard work over the past season.
The evening got off to a great start with a Heads and Tails competition for a novel prize of a large sweetie tower.  This was meant for the parents etc. but all the boys took part thinking they could win the sweetie prize.
Unfortunately they were mistaken and the sweetie tower was won by a parent, and rumor had it that he did share some of the sweeties with a few lucky boys, but only a few.

The large turnout of supportive parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers and friends saw each age group being handed their trophies by former Dyce BC player and coach with 15 years service to the club, who is now Scottish FA North Region Development Officer and Aberdeen FC Community Coach, Liam Duncan.
The Clubman of the Year trophies were handed over by Spencer Buchan of Club sponsor AVC Media to Rhys Clark, 2003s, Zane Laird, 2004s and Matthew Philip, 2005s. The boys were delighted with their awards but were quick to acknowledge their teammates who supported them in achieving these awards.
