Aaron Reid with his former 4v4 DBC Coach, Paul Smith
Aaron joined Dyce Boys Club in 2010 as a six year old after attending the summer coaching programme. He joined the clubs 4 v 4 development teams for two seasons. In mid 2012, Aaron and his teammates in the 2004 age group moved to the 7 a side game. Aaron spent a very happy and successful period with his team only losing once in the year he played with the team.
In August 2013, Aaron was invited to join a group of boys Aberdeen Football Club were looking to become their new under 10′s squad for coming season. After a six week trial he was invited to join the squad. He was obviously delighted to be asked to join the club that he supports and has really enjoyed the first few months with the club meeting new team mates, learning a new team system and playing in a number of different positions, his favourite being striker.
He has scored 25 goals over the first 3 months of the season and has been fortunate enough to have been asked to play for the under 11′s on two occasions, travelling to Partick Thistle in Glasgow and also playing against Rangers at Murray Park. Both days were a great experience.
Alan Reid, Aaron’s Dad said “Aaron will always be grateful to all of the coaches and team mates at Dyce that have helped him develop in to the player he is now”
Good luck in your new adventure with AFC Aaron from all at Dyce Boys Club.
