Dyce BC  4 - 0   Peterhead  BC

Sunday 21st September  2008

at Potterton

Dyce welcomed Peterhead to Potterton on a lovely sunny day. Dyce were first to attack and Dyllon had a couple of chances which were well saved by the Peterhead goal keeper. The Dyce defence of Charlie in goal, Jack, Adam and Ben were able to deal with any Peterhead attacks. Dyce opened the scoring towards the end of the first period when, after a good passing move up our left hand side, Cameron Pashley coolly slotted the ball home from 10 yards. Dyce, with new found confidence, were competing for the ball and passing the ball around with a bit of authority. Dyce scored their second when Jordan Cromar, from a free kick, hit an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net. Further Dyce pressure resulted in a mixture of poor finishing and good goalkeeping, keeping the score at 2-0 to Dyce. With only a few minutes of the second period left, a good passing move started by Adam at the back, left Jordan Cromar 20 yards out and he hit a shot which the Peterhead goalkeeper could only parry into the roof of the net. The third period started with the Dyce midfield of Clark, Cobban, Penny well in control of the match, and goal no.4 wasn't long in coming. Peterhead had a corner, which was broken up by Jack Pirie. He played the ball wide to Jordan Cromar, who played a through ball to Dan, to run from the half-way line with a Peterhead defender hot on his trail. Dan checked inside the defender in the box and slotted the ball past the advancing Peterhead goalkeeper.
