Westdyke Leisure Centre

Great Northern Trophies League A

As our regular Match Reporter is in Australia trying out to be the next David Hasselhoff in Baywatch I will summarise the match.

We travelled to Westdyke knowing we would be in for a hard game after their good win last week.

The first few minutes both teams were sizing each other up, then Dyce scored 3 goals in a space of 7 minutes. The first Goal came from a great cut back from Craig MacAskill which found Kenny Mair who made no mistake from close range. Goal two came from a pass in the 18 yard box from Grant which was meet by Robbie Collinson who drilled in a low shot to give the keeper no chance (Or was it the other way around, can't read my own writing!) Goal three came from a Tap in from Kenny Mair after he directed in a shot from Craig. The next 20 Minutes Dyce pushed for the fourth goal but some good defending and outstanding Goal Keeping kept the score at 3-0. Two great shots from Kenny brought out another two excellent saves from the Westdyke Keeper. The fourth goal came after some fantastic build up play from Dyce which ended in Drew Copeland scoring high in the top corner from 12 yards.

Half-time 4-0

Dyce continued to play some excellent football, all on the ground, which was great to watch. The fifth Goal came from a corner which was meet by Callum Wilson who bulleted a header past the keeper. The score was kept down again by some unbelievable saves by the Westdyke keeper. Goal six came from a brilliant 18 yard shot across the keeper from Tomo Robertson. Nathan Greig then hit a shot from 30 yards which just narrowly missed the right corner post. Goal seven came from some great play on the bye line from Cammy, he beat a few defenders then played the ball in which was tucked past the keeper from close range by Lewis Michie. More great play from Cammy lead to goal 8 from Drew Copeland. The ninth and final goal came from a great ball into the box from Craig which was meet with a fine header from Tomo Robertson.

Final Score 0-9

The guys played fantastic football today and it was a joy to watch and be part of, if we continue to play like this we should have a fantastic season.
