Dyce BC 13 - 0 Glentanar Sunday 21st September 2008 Potterton Great Northern Trophies League A Dyce welcomed the visit of Glentanar who came to Potterton with high expectations after a fine 3-2 win over Deveronvale the previous week. With Dyce recording a fine Scottish Cup win last week, the scene was set for a good contest. Dyce came out of the blocks with all guns blazing and took an early lead after 2 minutes, following a great run and cross from Ryan Burr which found Liam Smith to score from close range. Connor Legge opened his account in the game, adding another after 4 minutes. Liam McCall fired a great shot home from the edge of the box to make it 3-0 after 8 minutes and a Connor Legge shot found the net after a superb through ball from Calum Tremain, to make it 4-0 and kill the game as a contest. Glentanar had no answer to the crisp fast football that Dyce were serving up and Andy Smith decided to get in on the scoring act to make it 5-0. 2 further goals from Connor Legge brought his tally to 4 for the first half, with Liam Smith notching another to close out the first half scoring. Half Time: Dyce 8 Glentanar 0 Dyce made a couple of changes at half time with Lewis Kidd replacing the hard working Ryan Burr, and Levi Kelman slotting in at the centre of defence, allowing Martyn Fraser to take up the forward role vacated at half time by the impressive Connor Legge. Straight away a great header from Martyn hit the bar, but Lewis Kidd was on hand to pick up his first competitive goal for Dyce. Scott Fuerst was again dealing with everything that Glentanar could offer and had to be at his best to dive full stretch to his right to push the ball past the post following a great shot from the Glentanar striker. Liam Smith continued his first half scoring exploits with another 2 second half goals, and Michael Williamson made his competitive debut scored with a cross-cum-shot that he swore was a shot!! Yeah, we believe you Mike. With virtually the last kick of the ball Andy Smith capped a great Dyce performance by adding his second and the team's 13th of the game. Full Time: Dyce 13 Glentanar 0 Another great performance from the squad with everyone contributing to a great victory. Well done! Steve, Dave and Kev. |
