Dyce BC 10
Paul Lawrie Foundation 0

Sunday 15th August 2010
Kaimhill

1st Period

On a glorious day for football, the Paul Lawrie Foundation kicked off the 2010-2011 season, Dyce were first to pose a threat and Josh Milne was unlucky to see his first time effort clear the crossbar after being found in the penalty area by Cameron McArthur.

Dyce were starting to dominate the proceedings and were taking full advantage of attacking up both wings with Owen Kinsella and Jordan Cooper on the right and Cameron Murray and Cameron McArthur on the left. The Dyce midfielders Ewen MacGregor and Elliot Byers were combining well in the centre.

However, it took Dyce until the 17th minute of the first period to turn their dominance into a goal and Josh Milne drove home from around the penalty spot after a good passing move on the right involving Jordan Cooper, Owen Kinsella and Elliot Byers created the opening.

Two minutes later and a similar move down the right saw Josh Milne claim his and Dyce's second as the one way traffic continued and in the 24th minute Dyce went three up, this time through Josh Bolton who made no mistake with a low shot, as Ewen MacGregor picked his run out with a slide rule pass.

Meanwhile the Dyce defence were largely untroubled with Cory Ritchie, Craig Still and keeper, Calum Wilson coping well with any PLF attacks.

1st Period : Dyce BC 3  PLF  0

2nd Period

Dyce continued to have the better of the exchanges in the second period and with a slightly revamped formation it took them a few minutes for the players to get familiar with each other, however, Dyce went further ahead in the 12th minute of the period when  midfielder Ally Naysmith collected in a Ross Craigen pass inside the PLF penalty area and shot home to make it four for Dyce and two minutes later Ross Craigen himself made his way into the penalty area and finished with a fine low shot across the PLF keeper to score Dyce's fifth.

Continued Dyce pressure resulted in the award of a penalty kick when a PLF defender handled a Cameron Mcarthur shot and Cory Ritchie took a fine penalty, low into the right hand corner of the net, to put his side six up.

Just at the end of the period PLF broke down the right, but, Cameron Murray was in good position to clear the danger as PLF launched a rare attack.

2nd Period: Dyce BC 6  PLF 0

3rd Period

Normal service was resumed in the final period and in the 3rd minute Josh Bolton threaded through an accurate pass to Duncan Forsyth, who was breaking into the PLF penalty area and Duncan proceeded to shoot home giving Dyce their seventh goal.

In the 7th minute PLF won a free kick just outside the Dyce box and the midfielder hit a fine shot past Dyce keeper, John Stevens, leaving him with no chance and getting his team off the mark.

Dyce responded well to this setback and Duncan Forsyth was on target again to claim his brace as Josh Milne played him in and Dyce went 8-1 up.

PLF were still looking to score another, however, and Dyce were fortunate to survive an attack, with Scott Sangster doing well to rescue the situation.

In the 21st minute an excellent passing move from Dyce resulted in goal number nine, with Cameron Murray putting Josh Bolton away down the left flank and Josh's low cross was met by Ally Naysmith, who had the simplest of tasks to stab the ball into the net from six yards out to claim his second goal.

Right on the final whistle another passing move by Dyce was initiated by Cameron Murray who found Duncan Forsyth, Duncan then flicked the ball through for Josh Milne who finished the move and scored his hat trick and took Dyce into double figures.

Final Score: Dyce BC 10   Paul Lawrie Foundation 1
