ALC kicked off the game, but, it didn't take long for Dyce to make their intentions plain when a one two passing move from strikers Ross Craigen and Josh Milne resulted in Josh Milne releasing a high looping shot over the ALC keeper and into the net to open the scoring in the first minute. Dyce continued to press with Cory Ritchie, Elliott Byers and Ewan McGregor calling the shots in midfield and the home keeper was called upon to save a shot from Ross Craigen in the 5th minute and three minutes later, the ALC defence failed to clear a cross by midfielder Ally Naysmith and Ewan McGregor picked up the loose ball on the left hand edge of the penalty area and wasted no time in launching a fine shot into the net to put Dyce two up. The 10th minute saw Cory Ritchie drive narrowly past as Dyce pressured relentlessly and four minutes later the ALC keeper saved well from Josh Milne after he shot from the right side of the penalty area, with a Jordan Cooper pass setting him up. Any ALC attacks were being well dealt with by Craig Still in the sweeper position and full backs Owen Kinsella and Cameron Murray.Dyce keeper John Stevens was having an easy shift with no shots of consequence to save. First Period: ALC Lewis 0 Dyce BC 2
2nd Period ALC came out for the second period determined to try and get back into the game, but, were limited to a shot from outside the Dyce penalty area that went well over the bar and Dyce keeper, Calum Wilson, was not forced to make a save. With Dyce defenders Owen Kinsella, Scott Sangster and Craig Still in fine form, ALC were struggling to make an impact. Duncan Forsyth was creating real problems for the home side up the Dyce right flank with his blistering pace and forced the ALC keeper to make two saves in the first ten minutes of the second period as Dyce settled into attacking mode once more and it was a break up the wing by Duncan that lead to Dyce's third goal in the 17th minute of the period, as he stormed into the penalty box and squared the ball for his fellow striker Josh Bolton, who picked his spot from around 15 yards out and stroked the ball into the net. Second Period: ALC Lewis 0 Dyce BC 3
3rd Period The final period saw Dyce continuing to dominate and they scored two high quality goals to cap a fine victory, the first from Ross Craigen as Dyce broke out of defence and midfielder Elliot Byers threaded a fine pass through to Ross, who beat the offside trap set by the ALC defence and sprinted towards goal, rounded the home keeper and prodded the ball home for Dyce's fourth goal. Goal number five was another "top drawer" effort as Ewan McGregor gained possession on the 18 yard line and despite being surrounded by Lewis defenders managed to steady himself and loop a wonderful shot into the top left hand corner of the net to claim his second and Dyce's fifth goal. Final Score: ALC Lewis 0 Dyce BC 5 Man of the Match: Elliot Byers Another very good performance lads, you are setting high standards for yourselves already and every member of the squad is doing his bit.
