As our usual reporter was unavailable today, this unbiased report was compiled in the dressing room after the game by the boys!!!!

Dyce kicked off 30 minutes earlier than usual at 10am and were caught early on still half asleep by a quick Stonehaven attack and only a timely intervention by Liam Strachan prevented a clear cut scoring chance.   Dyce began to get into their rhythm and a pass up the line by Cameron Shore to Matthew Dick saw Fraser Wyness smash a magnificent volley into the top corner of the net from Matthew's precise cross.Matthew Dick was next to try his luck when he cut in from the left and let fly with a great shot which rattled the crossbar before rebounding into play.   A cross from the left by Cameron Shore saw Fraser Wyness try a spectacular overhead kick which went narrowly past the post.  Winning a strong challenge in midfield, Glenn Murison cut in from the left and chipped the ball over the keeper into the back of the net.

Bruce Anderson was next to try his luck when he danced past a couple of players but the Stonehaven keeper managed to get a hand to his cheeky chip and the ball was eventually cleared.   Liam Strachan played a great through ball to Matthew Dick who beat two players before firing home with his left foot.  Glenn Murison saw a goalbound header from a corner kick hit the bar and after a goalmouth melee it was eventually cleared.

Bruce Anderson beat a couple of players on the right before squaring the ball inside to Glenn Murison who once again was denied by the crossbar when his fierce shot beat the keeper.  Kieran O'Brien won the ball at the back and played the ball to Bruce Anderson who went on a mazy run up the right wing before firing a great cross ball into the Stonehaven box which Bradley Neish had to stretch to get on the end of and it went narrowly past the post.

First Period:  0  -  3

Early in the second period the Stonehaven striker was causing us problems with his pace but good defending by Kieran O'Brien and Liam Strachan curtailed his goal scoring chances.  The Dyce midfield began to get on top and it was no surprise when Bruce Anderson scored after beating three or four players in a great run , tucking the ball into the net with the outside of his right foot.

Bradley Neish was next to score for Dyce after he got on the end of a terrific through ball from Liam Strachan and showed great composure and a good touch before coolly slotting past the keeper.  Ross Irvine who had been quite quiet in the Dyce goals, had to make a save which hit the post and was then cleared.  A good passing move from back to front ended with Bruce Anderson crossing to the far post where Bradley Neish met the ball on the volley but it hit the side netting.

Dyce were playing some good passing football and after a good run down the left Fraser Wyness crossed into the box where Liam Strachan's fierce shot hit the post and came back into play.  Bradley Neish latched on to a through ball, beat a couple of players before driving a fierce left foot shot under the keeper.  This spurred Stonehaven onto the attack and they broke through the Dyce rearguard and although Ross in goals saved the first effort their striker followed up to score from close range.

At the other end, Glenn Murison was unlucky when he picked up a slack clearance and fired in a fierce volley which the impressive Stonehaven keeper got a hand to and it hit the post and went out of play for a corner which came to nothing.   Just inside the attacking half, Bradley Neish picked up a pass, rode two tackles before driving through on goals to complete his hat-trick.

Full Time:  1  -  7

Scorers:-

Bradley Neish        3
Bruce Anderson    1
Matthew Dick        1

This was a terrific passing performance from the boys
and had it not been for the outstanding Stonehaven keeper,
the bar and the post, the score could have been a lot higher.
